Pietersen & Uys Algemene Dienste provides general property maintenance and handyman services in Riversdale, Stilbaai and surrounding areas of the Western Cape.
All work is carried out within the legal limits applicable to general maintenance tradespeople in South Africa. Certified specialists are engaged where required by law — including but not limited to work requiring a registered electrician's Certificate of Compliance (COC) or certified plumbing certification.
Pietersen & Uys carries out basic electrical maintenance work (light fittings, plug point replacements, switch replacements, basic fault finding) that falls within the general maintenance scope permitted under South African law.
Work that requires a Certificate of Compliance (COC) from a registered electrician under the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Electrical Installation Regulations will be referred to a suitably qualified and registered electrician. Clients will be clearly advised when this is the case.
Asbestos roof treatment and encapsulation services are carried out strictly in accordance with the South African Asbestos Abatement Regulations (2020) under the Occupational Health and Safety Act. We do not perform illegal asbestos removal. All asbestos work involves approved encapsulation treatment only, with appropriate documentation provided.
General water repairs (tap replacements, toilet repairs, minor pipe repairs) are carried out as general maintenance. Work that requires a licensed plumber or plumbing certificate of compliance will be identified and referred accordingly.
All quotes are provided in good faith based on the information available at time of quotation. Final pricing is subject to on-site assessment. Any changes to scope of work will be communicated and agreed upon before proceeding.
Pietersen & Uys takes reasonable care in all work performed. Liability is limited to the value of the specific work performed. We are not liable for pre-existing conditions, hidden damage discovered during works, or damage caused by materials supplied by the client.
